ISO image won't work on cd or dvd

After buring the ISO image to a cd and to a DVD neither one will boot on my HP laptop. At the splash screen for hp, I hit my escape key to change boot and seleted my atapi cd-rom to boot from. I hangs for about 5 secs then windows boots.

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you follow the Burning ISO guide?

Also, you can check the md5sum of the disk which will let you know if it was burned properly
