Problem with Uprgading to Opera in Ubuntu 7.10

Asked by taurus

Today, when I upgraded to Opera 9.51 build 2061, the fonts on websites I visit regularly have changed. I can't change the fonts the way I had them before.

The fonts I have customized to my liking have always stayed the same everytime I upgraded Opera in the past.

What must I do now to get this back?

It seems like your configuration file was erased. Please check that this opera create the same folder that you had before the upgrade. If its the same, the upgrade erased your configuration data. I have never installed Opera, so i dont know which is his name (configuration folder) but could be like:

/home/taurus/.opera/

Must be something like that. See if your last configuration file is there. If it isnt there, im sorry but you must do all the configuration again and MAKE a BACKUP of any configuration file if you will install a package that is not directly upgrade from the system (cause is tested), cause it could erase your configuration data.

See you and good luck!

Thanks gabriel. I'll keep this in mind for future reference. I think the way Opera stands now is ok for the time being. Thanks anyway.
