Any application that can show video via BT878A

Asked by Eunjoon

Hi,
I've just installed Ubuntu 8.04 on my SI852A board (from Lex System).

There are 4 BT878A codecs on the board and I've connected a video source one of them.
And I'd like to see the performance of video capturing ability of this board on Linux.

Does anybody know if there is any application that can show the input video and capture ?
I found some applications for Windows but not for Linux. Maybe this is because I'm new to Linux and Ubuntu.

Thanks and regards,

You may need a more informed response, however for the meantime I've found System/Synaptic/Search to be a great starting point. Search for video test revealed x-chat-xsys The audacious application mentioned below is also in the 8.04 repositories.

HTH

--------------
x-chat plugin that can display your current system statistics
X-Sys is a plugin for X-Chat that allows you to display your current system
statistics in a channel, private conversation or just in an echo to yourself
for testing purposes.

The plugin can display the following information:
  * Number of CPU's and their specifications.
  * Operating system information.
  * Video card type.
  * Sound card type.
  * Memory and swap usage.
  * Disk usage.
  * Ethernet card type.
  * Network traffic, both current and total.
  * Currently supporting audacious.

Hi, Tang,
Thanks for your comment.

I've found one from Add/Remove Search.
A program named CamStream works great.

Have a great day~!
