too many options

Hola,
al arrancar mi máquina, aparecen varias opciones de sistema operativo y solamente deseo conservar dos (Windows y Ubuntu) y cambiar la preferencia. Esto era relativamente simple desde PCLinuxOS, pero en Ubuntu no tengo idea cómo cambiarlo.

ENGLISH VERSION

Hi,
When I turn on my computer it has so many OS options (Ubuntu ... generic ... 19; Ubuntu ... fail-safe ... 19; and so on to an option marked with a .16 at the end), but I only want two options for start (Windows and Ubuntu) and select the preferred choice.

Como no dices que opcioens son supongo que serán kernels antiguos. Elimina con synaptic todos los que no estes usando (para saber cual usas en una consola escripte uname -r, actualmente en hardy es la 2.6.24-19-generic). Si quieres manipular la configuración de grub puedes usar el programa startupmanager
