(ppc arch) dont find cdrom /dev/hdb (mac-mini)

I download:

http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/ports/daily/20080701/intrepid-alternate-powerpc.iso

but when boot from this I have:

at cdrom rilevation, it doesnot find cdrom /dev/hdb

but I view in dmesg it:
hdb: ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive

what can I do to continue installation ?
may I create /dev/hdb ?

p.s.
in mac-mini-ppc
cpu: 7447A, altivec supported
clock : 1416.666661MHz

I try , opening another console (ctrl-alt-f2):

 - load module: cdrom
 - create device missing:
 mknod -m 0660 /dev/hdb 3 64

bu tI have:

segmentation fault
