Dictionaries not showing in Openoffice after install
Hello all,
I have installed the latest version Ubuntu Studio on AMD 64-bit machine with LTSP configured.
I figured out that the spell check utility was not working as the dictionary was not installed by default. I installed the English-US dictionary using the File>Wizards option in the office-writer application. configured the language settings and i could see the tick mark in on the English-US Language. I checked the spell check utility and it worked.
I rebuilt/updated the LTSP client image. Booted the client, the client reflects all the other changes i made like open office help files, other apps etc except the dictionaries! The dictionary i installed is not there and the spell check utility doesn't work. But, strangely it is working on the server machine.
I didn't login as root to install this, i used the user id that was created first during/after the install of Ubuntu which is the super-user, a part of the group root and can do all administrative tasks.
Kindly help, Thanks!

Hello
To install a new dictionary, call "File -> Wizards -> Install new dictionaries" in OpenOffice.org. Then exit and re-start OpenOffice.org,
Note: If the window is too small when using the File>Wizards>

Bhavani,
I have already done what you have written. Infact, the dictionaries and spell check are working properly on the server hardware. But, the dictionaries are missing when an thin client logs into the server through the LAN. The LTSP client is not able to use spell check nor see any dictionaries installed.
I hope you understand the problem.
Thanks
