How to get linux to work with my raid 0

Asked by mcbgun

I'm trying desperately to get Ubuntu to work with my raid hard drives (2 x 320gb in stripe mode). I keep looking at help topics but none seem to clearly state how I get ubuntu to dual boot with my vista installation. I thought wubi might ahve done the trick but I got as far as it loading up busy box and thats it!

Is there any linux distribution that comes with automated raid support? Where is the simplest article with easy step by step instructions on getting raid 0 to work with linux?

I've had lots of grub errors so far...2.....21......17 i think.....i even had just grub on the screen!

Many thanks

if it does not work with the maybe it works with the alternate cd
get it here:
http://ubuntuusers.de/downloads/

make sure to choose "Alternate CD (textbasierte Installation)" under "Edition"

good luck

so, grub 1.98 works perfect.
u can use deb from here: https://edge.launchpad.net/~ricotz/+archive/unstable

karmic style (BUT, U WOULD BE UPDATED WITH SOME FRESH STUFF ALSO):
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ricotz/unstable

also, u can run following command to use default settings:

$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure grub-pc

Can you help with this problem?
