pdf files not opening

In Hardy, .pdf files will not open in document viewer, I just get the loading screen? Any suggestions please.

Hmm, can you confirm that you have the PDF viewer evince with all the latest Ubuntu updates
Open a terminal window (Applications menu, Accessories) and type

sudo apt-get install evince
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

then to see if evince is working type

Thanks for that Tony, now, if I save it from email and then open it from evince it works, but it still does the same if I try to open it directly from email. At least I can now print my invoices from suppliers. If you have any other ideas about opening from Evolution, I'd be grateful, but this works.
