how to enableing "root" user one ubuntu 11.04

ok well im trying to find a way to enable the root user so that i can work with some commands that i need. if some one could help that would be great thank you very much.

Please open a Terminal from the menu Applications->Accessories->Terminal and type:

sudo -i

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

And you are root.

it did but i would like to be able to login to the system as root user.

sudo passwd
choice password
