Hi,
how about in the upper menu system -> preferences -> appearance -> font types and advanced.
There you can change settings global and view the appearence right away in e.g. firefox or nautilus.
The style of websites is to be changed in firefox itself menu -> edit -> preferences -> content

After 200 plus updates and messing with screen resolution it is a lot better, the type is not so small, some web pages still open in small type ,still not sure what I need to do.

Hi,
if you are satisfied with the settings in firefox, you can allow or not allow websites to use their own style, mentioned in the table content -> advanced.
There is also a feature in firefox for only zooming the text in the main menu -> view -> zoom -> only text.
