there are alot of options of themes in left side.

Reading specifications of a theme should point to an appropriate package.

Off course Ubuntu-themes in particular are to find within e.g. Synaptic package manager.
The configuration variety of the default themes is already immense.

You simply download a theme file from art.gnome.org (or gnome-look.org) and save it to your desktop. With the appearance app open (system -> preferences -> appearance) on the Theme tab, click "Install" on the bottom right section of that window. The changes should take effect immidiately. Then with that theme selected, you can click "Customize" to tweak the settings. If you get everything exactly how you want, click "Save As" so that you can always revert to it in the future.

Hi,
another trick is to drag the archive into the appearance window, it will install also and you will be asked if you want to use it right away.
You don't need to unpack the archive.
You will find your installed themes hidden (with a dot) in your home directory -> .themes
After installing you can remove the archive from the desktop.
