Lost boot-sectyor, overwrited by Windows Vista

I have to re-install Vista. I forgot to previously backup the boot-sector. Vista overwrited the linux boot sector. Do I need to re-install Ubuntu from zero?

i dont think you do try to download and install grub bootloader, i have that and i think you can get it seperatley and im not sure about this but if you re install ubuntu it imports your files but i would back them up in the vista partition
