new to ubuntu. how do i get evolution mail working

i have a hotmail account from when i had windows. now i want to use evolution mail. all i want it my hotmail emails to come to my evomail account. i am not trying to transfer old emails from hotmail to evomail, i just want every email that comes to me from now on to go to evomail. that being said... i set everything up and i tried sending myself an email to test it out. when i clicked send the email when to the outbox and stayed there indefinitely. like the summary says, i am new to ubuntu. how do i get what i want? thanx in advance for anybody who responds.

Hello bigmofo,

The easier solution I see is to use Izymail ( http://v3.izymail.com/ ) which interacts between webmails and your e-mail client. If you have a question about it's use and that you can't find an answer to it on this website, don't hesitate to ask your question here (in this thread)
