internet problem?

Asked by henrytran

Hey guys, I hope anyone can help me out. When my sister uses the wireless on her laptop, her internet would disconnect and reconnect multiple times. When I asked her how long has it been since it happened, she said about a week ago, which was the time where I had just installed Ubuntu onto my laptop. My laptop is directly connected to my router at all times. Could it be that installing Ubuntu affect the internet somehow so that the wireless would get messed up?

The wireless should not be impacted by your direct (with a cable) connection via linux. This disconnect are far more likely to occur from another wireless source or other disturbing radio wave in your neighbourhood.

Hope this helps.
