f-spot improperly tries to import photos automatically

Asked by Martin Pokorny

Recently under 8.04, f-spot has started up automatically whenever I connect a camera via USB, and starts importing the photos. This is in spite of the fact that under "System > Preferences > Removable Drives and Media" menu item I have "import digital photos when connected" _not_ checked. When I first upgraded to 8.04, I don't believe that I encountered this problem, but it's annoying now since I don't want to use f-spot. Any suggestions?

Open a Nautilus window, go to Edit/Preferences, choose Media Tab. In the Photos pulldown choose 'Do Nothing' or 'Ask What To Do'.
