differences in Launchpad Answers and UbuntuForums.org

Asked by Bogdan Bivolaru

When should I use Launchpad Answers and when UbuntuForums.org?
Are they equivalent? Where should I try first?
How do I decide which one is better for a specific question?

It is really up to you. I think the forums are the best place to get help since there are SO many more users + moderators, it is much faster to get advice, and a variety of it. Also, all the questions aren't thrown into the same bucket, UF has different subforums so you can post a question in a related section. Then again, UF is where I spend most of my time, so maybe I am biased.
LP is great for bug reports and communicating with developers, so it is perfect for bug reports, esp. for development versions of Ubuntu.
You have to decide which is better for you.

Can you help with this problem?
