required manual fsck..worried about my system

..had to run in recovery..and fix alot of problems..reported still problems...restarted system...told me to run fsck again...only one problem to fix...restarted and now im here..."file system has errors"....administrative newbie...

Boot the PC using the Ubuntu Live CD, then run the manual fsck on the system, doing the fsck on a mounted partition(especially on the root) will cause damage and may make the problem more serious.

my dad did...so therefore he has the cd then right?

newbie newbie...go easy..lol....am going to see him later as it's fathers day so maybe he's got it....

Yes, your dad probably has the Live CD, you can use that to perform the manual fsck.

Boot the Live CD, and once you reach the desktop, unmount the drive with:-
sudo umount /dev/location-of-drive
and then perform the fsck.
