I'm a low tech knowing guy , i want to install ubuntu Does my computer support it ?

RAM : 2.00 GB

Yes, you can install Ubuntu on your computer. But if you are afraid of messing things up, you really have to find someone who can visit your home and help you.

When you install Ubuntu and if you are afraid of technology, then you stand a very good risk of wiping out all of your Windows stuff.

You CAN install Ubuntu and Windows side by side. But you should find a friend who is more technologically comfortable with computers to help you.

As of Ubuntu 8.04 you can use Wubi (Windows Ubuntu Installer) to install Ubuntu under windows like any other windows program.

To do this just insert an Ubuntu 8.04 CD into your cd-rom drive while you are under windows. It while then show a menu which gives you the possibility to install Ubuntu.

You should tell us information about your Graphics card because whether the 3d graphics will work depends on the Linux driver available for your graphics card. ATI cards are known to cause problems and need extra tweaking to work well under Ubuntu.
