is ubuntu has built in cgi support

i installed ubuntu for doing cgi programming.but there is no cgi-bin directry available in this.is ubuntu has built in cgi support??.i thought every linux platform has built in cgi support.is it corruct or not.

All operating systems have cgi support. CGI are ordenary programs that a web server runs and sends the output to the client. Please refer to http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/howto/cgi.html to learn more about how to set up Apache for CGI programs.
