How do I configure Ubuntu so that the Firestarter firewall starts when Ubuntu boots up?

Asked by Stephen Foster

Good day:

The firewall Firestarter does not start when Ubuntu boots up to the desktop. I would like to have Firestarter enabled and running when by the time the desktop opens so that I don't have any time when my system is without firewall protection. My question is what do I do to get Firestarter to enable before the desktop opens? Many thanks. Oh, I am not a Geek (respectfully said) so complete instructions would be most helpful.

You can add it at System -> Preferences -> Sessons
in startup programs add:
gksu firestarter

Fabulous service with an effective answer in just a few minutes. I love Ubuntu as a recent convert from Windows. Thanks for making the transition a wonderful experience. :)
