i install ubuntu 7.10 on my p.c. but after the installation computer is restart and i select ubuntu from os list but then my montior(Acer LCD AL1516) shows the error that input is not supported

it's normal , but if you unsure, you can disable the splash screen ...

from grub menu select one of the linux and press 'e' ,
and then choose the kernel parameter,
and press 'e' again and remove the 'quiet splash' --it's on the end of the line--
and then press 'b' to boot up
