cd drive not detect

Asked by Steve1

CD drive will not detect version 6.06 LTS after reboot, windows just loads up as normal.
I want to run the live version from CD, instead of having to install it.

Can you boot from other bootable CDs?

If not, you might need to change the bios settings that you boot from cdrom before you boot from harddisk.

If you can, you might need to check your CD. Did you just copy the iso-file onto the CD, or did you burn it by copying an image to CD ?

I hope this helps you..

Did you follow https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto
to burn your CD?

Did you check the integrity of your CD?
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/CDIntegrityCheck

And if you don't even get the boot screen, please check

Best Regards,
