Can you select to use Ubuntu or Vista when you start up the computer?

So like when you start up,

It comes with 2 logos (Vista and Ubuntu) and you click which operating system to use or is Ubuntu like a COMPLETE OS like Vista?

Yes, you can. You get simple twxt based loader - three lines for Ubuntu, one for Windows.

Hi Eddie and Abhi,

You can select Ubuntu or Vista when you start your PC.

See this link https://help.ubuntu.com/community/GrubHowto

Lets say you have Windows Os and you installed Ubuntu in a new NTFS partition. If you have done Ubuntu installation correctly and selected grub option while installing Ubuntu, a file under /boot/grub/menu.lst will be generated which displays those a menu at startup.

To modify the name display or to customize it you need to edit menu.lst as super user.

Please let me know if you have any problem further.
