domain creation

i would to create a domain i have downloaded bind9 i think i have st it up correctly though its not working.
My problem is on making the windows computers to join the domain.It seems like its not working.
Can someone go with me step by step on creating a working domain. i would like to join windows machines to the domain.
Help am stuck.
