networking and internet

Asked by Jim Dagit

after upgrading to feisty I have not been able to be on my local network and use my dial up at the same time. the PPP will dial out but the browsers will not connect to it unless I have unplugged my eth0 cable. If I plug it back in to use the printer the browser will try to get its info from the local and i have to unplug and redial to get back to the internet. Following this upgrade I also had to change my hardrives from hda to sda, don't know if this could be a clue? both the local and internet work fine, just not at the same time.

You seem to have a "default gateway" entry on your ethernet connection which should not be there. If you have configured your network manually, remove the "Gateway" setting from the configuration. If you are using DHCP, remove the "Gateway" entry on the DHCP server.
