Download speed

I have a broadband connection speed of 1.5Mbs+ but when I try to download Ubuntu it downloads at 25Kbs which for such a large file will take a long time. This is a lot slower than any other site I have connected to.

Is this a problem with the Ubuntu site or do I have a problem.

If the problem is mine what are the likely causes and solutions?

I would download via BitTorrent (you will need a BitTorrent client first: http://www.bittorrent.com/download).

This helps a lot. Speeded it up to 700Kbs which is acceptable.
