partition

I have reinstalled Win Xp on my pc and have restored grub. Ubuntu is now booting perfectly. But the following problems arise
1) Ubuntu is not mounting the formatted partition automatically. And if I mount it manually Ubuntu asks for password. Though the partition opens but why is this happening?
2) When I am using Partition Editor on ubuntu it does not recognize any partition and says that the entire hard disk
is unformatted. What to do?

Hi Milan Singha,

Probably the issue might be related to formatting disk before reinstalling Win xp.
