I need simple, I mean simple instructions on how to install and download programs

Asked by MattyA817

Alright so I have tried to download Azureus, Bitcomet, and Bittorrent. None of which I have been able to successfully install. I have gone through tons of forums looking for answers, and I just cannot figure it out. If somebody could give me step by step instructions on installing one of those programs that would be great, also instructions for limewire, and regular aim would also be amazing. Please remember to be simple haha I've never dealt with anything but windows and I want to learn these things. I know I have GAIM, but I'd prefer regular AIM. Thanks a lot

Best to start with the official documentation rather than forums:-

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AzureusHowTo
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BitTorrent
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/FrostWire

Please do come back to us if you get stuck with any of those.

As for AIM, I dont think you can run that on Ubuntu. There is an alternative to GAIM which some people prefer - it is called AMSN. You can install it using Synaptic Package Manager.
