Wubi MD5SUM wrong

Asked by spartan128

I tried to install ubuntu 8.04 using wubi but partway into the install it just froze up. I checked the MD5SUM of wubi and got a different chesksum the it should be, tried redownloading wubi but got the same result. My original problem (which I thought wubi would fix) can be forund here: https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/35295. My new problem is stupidly tried to install wubi before checking it and I don't know how to get a non defective wubi file or how to get the old messed up one of my computer.
