trash can disappeared

Asked by fred-allen

I really don't know what happened. When I logged onto my computer today, everything was the same as it was yesterday, but my recycle bin is gone and I can't seem to get it back. I've tried to add it to the panel again, but it won't appear. So, I just need a recycle bin.

Hello

Try right clicking on the bottom panel and select Add to panel and then go to the section where it says Desktop and Windows and select the Window List. That should add your minimized windows to the bottom panel. Now about the trash can....

Or

Press Alt+F2 to get the “Run Application Dialog” and type gconf-editor
Open apps, then scroll down to nautilus and then choose desktop.
There is checkbox to trash, select it.

Regards

Bhavani Shankar.
