Can't add extra workspaces.

I'm having trouble changing the number of workspaces. I started with four, but switched it to two. Now I need four again, but when I right click on the workspace switcher and select preferences, there is no option to change the number of workspaces. I can only select the number of columns or rows.

Rise the number of columns (or Number of workspaces) from 2 to 4 and try again
