I have a suggestion on how to slightly change the boot scripts to mount the base device (holding squashfs image) read-write and having persistence on that same partition (live-usb)

I don't really have a problem... I had one and I solved it for myself, I think others might find it useful. not sure if this is the right place to go.

I would be willing to test more things or discuss it with someone but if this is to get anywhere useful someone with more knowledge needs to be involved...
