wont load linux ubuntu

my laptop will not get past the loading screen that has

                      Ubuntu
then the moving orange load bar

it just keeps going from side to side and then d computer stops reading the disc and the screen stops moving and nothing ever happens. wot do i do?

are you booting from harddisk or from cd?

from cd and the computer cant handle it but dont worry i fixed the problem and its now working.
