cant run commands

Asked by kyleriv

Ok this weekend i have been trying to enable desktop effects and to put beryl onto my system. However, while following instructions from either my or other questions, whenever i come across using the terminal it tells me
"E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem." I run "dpkg --configure -a" and then it tells me "dpkg: requested operation requires superuser privilege"
does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Thanks for your question.

Just run: 'sudo dpkg --configure -a'

It will ask for your password.

Can you help with this problem?
