nfs-pro street in windows

I have downloaded a trial version of nfs-prostreet game from softpedia.com. I have installed the game in WinXP. Everything was done but when i started it the screen became black and said that the game had encountered an error and I returned to desktop. I have checked the system requirements they are satisfied. What to do?
