VLC player can be installed simply by executing:-
sudo apt-get install vlc

Real Player must be installed in another way, but really saying, it would be pretty pointless since the Linux version of Real Player plays only Real formats and not any other. So VLC should be enough if you aren't using any Real media files.

execute the above command(sudo apt-get install vlc) in the terminal. It will download and install for you
