8.04, latest update as of 5/10/08 was a partial update on Toshiba Satellite A135-S4527. WLAN switch is on. The network configuration tool shows no wireless option. The hardware test shows

Your card isn't officially supported yet. You can install an patched version of madwifi (which is the wireless driver for Atheros card).

On the make step got the following error message

 /lib/modules/2.6.24-17-rt/build is missing, please set KERNELPATH. Stop.

problem solved with updates installed as of 6-7-2008
