can i watch ipl t20 live on peercast

Asked by Niraj

i want to watch ipl match live on laptop.
i searched on net & found that it is telecasted on sop protocol which can be viewed on
sopcast or TUVplayer. But both are getting installed on my pc. sopcast gives error during 'make'
while TUV player says that i need to install windows media player 10 or greater

i have installed peercast just now , but i dont know anything of it's operation.
can anyone tell me wheather i can watch these matches on peercast ? if yes how?

Hello

Here is the link where you can watch IPL live

http://www.iplt20.com/iplt20/member/videos.aspx

and as mentioned in the site you have to have flash installed

For that you need to have extra repositories enabled..
To enable all the software repositories do ref this link..

http://psychocats.net/ubuntu/sources

after getting all the required repositories enabled

Type the following command in a terminal (applications -> accessories -> terminal)

sudo aptitude install flashplugin-nonfree

also install mplayer and mplayer firefox plugin

sudo aptitude install mozilla-mplayer

To install mplayer for mozilla

and

sudo apt-get install mplayer

to install Mplayer

Note : payment of some money is required to watch the matches live

Regards

Bhavani Shankar.
