can't install 6.10 edgy b/c graphics unsupported in installer livecd

I can't install 6.10 because of bug 62002

Is there a workaround?

Have you tried install with alternate install?
It uses a console-based graphic installer which is much less picky with graphic cards.

Can you help with this problem?
