does ubuntu have a torrent program?

hi,

does the new ubuntu have a torrent program? If so pls tell me the name :-). If i download a torrent file from lets say mininova.com could i put that into it or does it have to have a special file extension.

There is default application called Transmission (Appliucations→Internet→Transmission). Other applications (not installed by default) are e.g. KTorrent, Azureus, Deluge, BitTornado...

Just download .torrent file and in Firefox Save dialog choose "open with Transsmision" or save this file and the open it with Transmission from Nautilus...

Output? It's up every torrent... Transmission will create new folder (you can choose where, be default in your home directory) and all downloaded files will be saved there.

i mean the actuall MOVIE
what will be the file extension
like avi or mpeg

Yes, but this is not think of Ubuntu or Transmission -- "founder" of the torrent has uploaded it...
