extensions doesnt get installed, returns error

when ever i want to install extensions in FF2.0.0.14 the folllowing message is printed in error console

installLocation has no properties
when clicking the link in the error consoles it takes to the following line

      var installLocation = this.getInstallLocation(item.id);

Please help me to overcome the problem

I'm not sure that this will solve your problem but when I had that kind of problem, I removed the ".mozilla" folder from my home folder and it would be ok...

ps: don't forget to backup your preferences, favorites and stuff
