realtek rt2500 not working

i have rt2500 wifi card, and it is not working propely, last i installed a special deb package and dod something else (don't remember what exaclty) and now after system reinstall and installing those special package wifi is not working

it is on my laptop, and i have turned on the wifi light

What version of Ubuntu are you using? What laptop do you have(make and model)? What is the make and model of the wireless card? What type of encryption are you using on your connection?

all of this didn't work, now i know why, i've installed rt2500 package from synaptic and also some other package from .deb files, so when i removed them by using synaptics, and then installed that .deb package everything was ok

i love ubuntu
