Cannot print from Ubuntu

Asked by David Robinson

Since the recent upgrade I cannot print anything from Ubuntu. The printer is connected and is OK in settings and also I can print from other sources such as my I pad. It is somewhat ironic that my previous problem with printing has been resolved by the upgrade but now I cannot print at all.

Ok,why was that not in the initial question? Its an important piece of information.....

How did you install the driver for it (if at all)?

Thanks

The driver was installed by a friend and the printer is attached to
the local host. As I originally said all was well until the upgrade.
All the operations up to clicking the print button appear to be
functioning.

I suggest you remove the printer from the config, but keep the driver. Then power off the printer and reboot Ubuntu. It should then pick up the device and reset it up.
