errors on resuming from suspend

Asked by dino

Hi!

I'm running 8.04 on a Toshiba Portege M500. It worked perfectly for a few days. Now, I get this error when resuming from suspend, and it takes too long to resume.
 [xxxxxxxxx] drm_sysfs_suspend
[xxxxxxxxx] i8042 kbd 000:06: activation failed
[xxxxxxxxx] i8042 aux 00:007: activation failed
 [xxxxxxxxx] i8042 tpm_inf_pnp 00:0a: activation failed

where [xxxxxxxxx] is some floating point number that changes every time.

What is causing this??

I still haven't fixed this problem. Can anyone help please??

Sometimes it takes so long to resume, it would have been better to shut the thing down and reeboot.

I'm having the exact same issue on a brand new Asus m51sn-X2 laptop. Anyone with answers would be greatly appreciated.
