Ubuntu and Raid0

Asked by Craig

I have two drives set to Raid0 and divided into 4 partitions. C through F and I have Windows XP on C and would like to install Ubuntu 8.04 on D drive. I read somewhere while surfing that Ubuntu doesn't like Raid0. Is this a fact and how can I install it on my D drive. I tried to install it once and it kept wanting to re-partition my drives. Then I wasn't able to get back into Windows from my Ubuntu desktop. It was rather strange and I finally figured out that I had my raid configured incorrectly and had to redo my raid system and re-install Windows. Now it's running perfect and am kind of afraid to try the re-install of Ubuntu. I would like to know how to do a clean install of Ubuntu on D drive without any re-partitioning involved. Is that possible.
