Matrox G45+MDVA16D card?

I was given one of these card for use in the "trash computer" I've assembled (Penitum III, 550MHz, 512 Mb RAM, running Xubuntu 8.04).

But what driver works with it? I'll be darned if I can find anything in the Synaptic Package manager.

HELP!!!???

PS: dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg doesn't work for me - I get a Fatal error:

"FATAL: Error inserting battery (/lib/modules/2.6.24-16-generic/kernel/drivers/acpi/battery.ko): No such device"

But when I look in that directory, the file "battery.ko" exists! HELP!!!

I managed to research more about the driver and manually configured the Xorg.conf file. What a pain! But the Fatal error problem still exists, I need to figure out why.

I haven't solved the fatal error, nor the battery.ko error message......but I did manage to manually configure xorg.conf.

When I get home I'll try to remember to post a copy of it's contents on this thread, if that will be of any help to you.
