Using Gimp

Asked by mrlopes

Hi...

I'm using Gimp.
Ubuntu 7.10.

When i first opened Gimp, there were two panels that came up, the main panel and another panel next to it.
I closed the panels (windows) and now when i startup GIMP the second panel doesn't come up anymore.
I've tried re-installing and looking through FILE>DIALOUGE in GIMP but can't get the second panel to appear.

Please help me, it's making me crazy. I bet it's something obvious.

you can goto file -> dialogs -> create new dock you can select from a list of 'windows', i don't think any of them represent the entire window that you want but you can drag them all together (just make two new 'docks' and click-drag one ontop of the other, not the window but the tabs)

you could also delete the ".gimp-2.4" directory in your home directory, that may fix it (rm -rf ~/.gimp-2.4/)
