username and password

 I've installed the Ubuntu, Hardy Heron 8.04 using the Wubi installer. When booting up, I'll get the choice of Windows XP or Ubuntu. When I select Ubuntu, it will load and then ask for the username and password. What should I enter?

Were you asked to select a username and password during the install? If so, use that. If not, then I'm not sure. I've never used wubi but I think it should ask.

The installer should have asked you for a username and password. Those are essential information for the installation

I am not exactly sure about the installation though Wubi but installing the normal way at least, after you enter your real name the installer suggest a username which is simply you first name.

If you don't know your username / password the only solution is to uninstall / reinstall Ubuntu.
