i am get problem ne sudo command it saw unable to resolve host

i am use the command sudo pppoeconf and it so the output is unable to resolve host (host name):connection refused
and every time it ask password of user but password are not typeing and i can not do anythink plz solved my problem.and i am resently insutal new ubuntu 16.04 lts .plz help me and one more qury .how to make the broadband connection for using wifi router. plz help .thanks.

if you run:

cat /etc/hostname.

then:

cat /etc/resolv.conf

Do you see the hostname in /etc/resolv.conf

?

When you type your password into terminal, nothing will show. Press enter Ubuntu will take it.
