Lost a hard drive and no dual monitor with nvidia card

Asked by Paddy

When I installed Ubunto 8.04 I used the "Guided - use entire disk", and it installed on my second drive, and my original C drice has disappeared. Also, I am using an Nvidia graphics card, and I have a blank second monitor during running the program. The U bunto logo comes on when booting or shutting down, but not during computer operation.

you can use the nvidia-settings tool (type gksudo nvidia-settings in a terminal) to configure your duel monitor setup.

may be:sudo: unable to resolve host paddy1-desktop
has something do with this?
sda and sdb are listed your "C" drive(sdb1) is not in fstab, so not "seen"?

Can you help with this problem?
